Quickshade dries with a glossy finish so you'll want to spray models down with a matte sealer. If you're leaning on Quickshade to most of your shading you may lay it on thicker. I do some shading before using quickshade so use a light shade and I brush it on fairly thin, about the same thickness as you'd use to varnish wood. It will dry a little lighter and clearer than it brushes on. Quickshade will settle into the crevices of your model and bring the shade in. This innovative product made miniature and army painting faster than ever and is the cornerstone of the Spray, Paint, Dip, Done method. Buy a bit of mineral oil to clean your bushes with after you use quickshade and rinse them thoroughly after you clean them. DO NOT DIP YOUR $20 BRUSHES IN QUICKSHADE. Quickshade works best at room temperature or warmer (Dont cook it). I started with quickshade and now just use furniture varnish. Very different from inks or other glazes and washes that are just acrylic pigments thinned in a medium.
